The organisers of Plantarium at Boskoop have unveiled plans to ‘future-proof’ the event, following consultation with stakeholders and former exhibitors.
More than 60 action points which were raised, resulting in a raft of recommendations from the board of directors..
They said it was clear that Plantarium mattered to visitors and exhibitors and that people appreciated the fair’s 'quality above quantity' approach. In this context, they were asked to continue to market Plantarium as a source of inspiration.
In order to generate even more trade visitors, the recommendation was to develop a customised invitation policy. An evening programme may help to encourage trade visitors to spend more time at the fair, as might daytime presentations. Collaboration with third parties such as Groen-Direkt and TPK Media Partners was considered important. The fair organisers will be presenting a supplementary programme of activities and, together with Groen-Direkt, will work to put Boskoop on the map as “the place to be” at the end of August.
In collaboration with TPK Media Partners, retail presentations will be displayed in the central axis of Plantarium. Discussions with GrootGroenPlus, are also under way among about, among other things, offering a mutual platform for the two fairs for displaying products such as the new plants.
This year, steps will also be taken to create a more targeted and centrally organised invitation policy.
The 33rd edition of Plantarium will be held from 26 to 29 August 2015 in the Plantarium building at the International Trade Centre, Boskoop-Hazerswoude.
