Growing media sales stay ahead of last year

Although sales volumes of growing media are ahead of the same week in 2012, there is the inevitable slow down happening.

But there are still some bright spots like Scotts Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Compost (56 litres), which returned to the Bestsellers Growing Media chart. Obviously, gardeners reacting to the recent dry spell and buying bags before recent rain showers.

Other notable performances this week are:

  • Scotts Levington Ericaceous Compost (50 litres) saw a 50% increase in sales.
  • Westland Indoor Plant Compost (10 litres) became the highest climber, moving up 23 places.
  • Arthur Bowers John Innes No 2 (20 litres) also saw a 50% rise in sales volumes.
