Coolings Nurseries hosted the Sevenoaks Business Awards awards ceremony last week.

Organised by the Sevenoaks Town Partnership and attended by 160, the awards took the form of seven categories including Independent Retailer of the Year and the Customer Choice award.

Attendees included the Rt Hon Michael Fallon, Defence secretary and local MP, and a number of town and district councillors as well as the Mayor of Sevenoaks.  Two vintage routemaster buses transported guests from Sevenoaks town centre to Coolings, where the route through its coffee shop gardens was lit with uplighters and candles.

Coolings managing director Gary Carvosso said hosting the event was an “extra bonus whilst our own business enjoys a record September”

The Nursery won the the ‘Independent Retailer’ category in 2013.
