Notcutts announce the return of Mark Haddock as CFO

Notcutts has announced the appointment of Mark Haddock as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Company Secretary.

The appointment marks a positive return to Notcutts for Mark, who was previously the company’s Financial Controller between 2015 and 2018.

He joins both the Notcutts Executive Leadership Team and the Group Board and succeeds Julian Herbert, who has been CFO and Company Secretary since 2016. Julian Herbert will now become a Non-Executive Director as part of the Notcutts Group Board from 1st March.

Since 2018 Mark Haddock held senior positions at IPRS Group who specialise in the provision of medical, health, wellbeing, and clinical services. Initally as Finance Director and then as Chief Operating Officer (COO) he played a key part in helping IPRS to develop and grow to an organisation with more than £35m annual sales and 550 employees. In his earlier career Mark fulfilled roles at Informa, Barnes Construction, LB Group and PKF.

Commenting on his new role at Notcutts, Mark Haddock said: “I am pleased to rejoin Notcutts with a new role as CFO and Company Secretary, and I’m keen to play a part in the garden centre group’s exciting future.

“From my previous time at Notcutts, I understand the group’s strategic goals, company culture and ambitions for progress, and I share their passion for supporting colleagues’ development. I look forward to bringing new perspectives to the team and contributing towards Notcutts’ strategic journey.”

Nick Burrows, CEO, Notcutts, said: “We are delighted to see Mark Haddock return to Notcutts and we welcome his expertise as a member of our Executive Leadership Team and Group Board.

“Along with our recent homegrown appointments for Marketing and Customer Experience Director, Jane Gray; Trading Director, Yvonne Archibald; and Operations and Sustainability Director, Chris Holt; Mark’s appointment heralds an exciting new phase in leadership at Notcutts and reflects our strong culture of professional development for all colleagues.

“In welcoming Mark I would also especially like to thank Julian Herbert for his 9 years as CFO and Company Secretary. Julian is an outstanding leader who has made a profound impact in our growth and strategic direction, and we are pleased he will continue to share his knowledge and support through his Non-Executive Director role.”

Founded in 1897, Notcutts operates 19 garden centres across the country. For more information visit www.notcutts.co.uk
