SBM Life Science introduces new look for Maxicrop brand

SBM Life Science has unveiled a fresh new look for its iconic gardening brand, Maxicrop.

Known and trusted by consumers for its range of organic, seaweed-based bio-stimulants for plants and crops, the rebrand introduces a refreshed, contemporary aesthetic to its signature brown bottle and is set to cement the Maxicrop’s marketplace this season.

A gardening staple for over 80 years, its premium formulation remains unchanged. Featuring sustainably sourced, high-quality seaweed cultivated in the purest waters off the Norwegian coast, Maxicrop’s highly concentrated solution provides plants with a blend of nutrients, antioxidants, betaines, amino acids and phytohormones, to develop strong cells and boost root growth, while building resistance to disease, drought and cold.

The rebrand will be rolled out across the full range, including its hero product, the popular All Purpose Growth Stimulant, and its wider collection of NPK-enhanced (Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium) formulations, comprising of the Vegetable Growth Stimulant and Feed, Tomato Growth Stimulant and Feed, Growth Stimulant and Sequestered Iron, and Moss Killer and Lawn Tonic.

Certified organic by the Soil Association, Maxicrop has become much-loved over the past eight decades for providing visible results for flowers, fruit, vegetables, shrubs and lawns, and the SBM team hopes the new look and feel will extend its popularity to the next generation of gardeners.

To support the company’s greater focus on the brand, SBM Life Science has invested heavily in its marketing strategy, creating eye-catching in-store point of sale to support retailers and partnering with specialist garden PR agency, Honest Communications, to increase consumer awareness and broaden reach.

It comes as the family-owned group marks its 30th anniversary, celebrating its continued global success in developing a wide range of solutions for the gardening sector, as well as agricultural and aromatherapy.

Angharad James, product manager for Maxicrop, comments: “The Maxicrop brand has always been synonymous with high-quality and undeniable results. Thanks to its enriched formula and unique blend of ingredients, it’s been hugely popular with gardeners for over eight decades.

“Recognising the continued rise in the popularity of gardening among younger demographics, we felt it was time that Maxicrop had a bit of a makeover to attract that next generation of gardeners, while continuing to provide consumers with the finest formulations on the market.

“As market leaders in sustainability and product innovation, we hope that the rebrand will allow us to further strengthen our position in the sector and offer our retail partners a premium product that consumers will purchase for many years to come.”
