Kelkay aggregates delivered direct to your customer

Every garden retailer knows the challenges associated with merchandising and displaying bulky aggregates. Often left languishing in the back corner of outdoor areas, consumers can find the buying decision confusing and less glamorous. But with the new Home Delivery service from aggregate and paving specialists, Kelkay, times are changing and with it, the consumer shopping experience.

Gone are the days when retailers need to physically hold the stock in store. Instead, a simple yet powerful merchandising display can do the same job. In fact, the refreshed Kelkay Home Delivery merchandising display can do far more than traditional product displays whilst offering multiple benefits for retailers and consumers alike.

Freeing the retail floorspace + more products than ever

Traditionally, aggregates require a large amount of dedicated space, a space that is best suited to such bulky and “dirty” products. Furthermore, more space needs to be found to accommodate new lines and colours, a quandary that is not always available when stores become limited by their own site boundaries. Once again, Kelkay’s solution puts an end to such issues. The display can feature Kelkay’s complete aggregate and paving portfolio, which currently features 38 core aggregates, including chippings, slate, pebbles and cobbles, and 53 paving options. Never before has it been so easy to provide consumers with so many options in one handy location.

Educated, confident consumers

The shopping experience afforded by Kelkay’s new Home Delivery displays is designed to provide complete confidence. By scanning a QR code, consumers can access Kelkay’s dedicated website. Here, they can view all the information about their chosen products, including size, colour, ideal uses, multiple visuals, and related products. A dedicated aggregate calculator will also be accessible, helping to simplify the buying process further.

From here, consumers only need to make their selection – including deciding whether to order large or bulk bags – before heading to the tills to make their purchase. Once complete, the order will be passed to Kelkay’s dedicated fulfilment team, who will ensure delivery in as little as 7 – 10 working days.

Easy to install & optimise

For the first time, aggregate and paving products can be located anywhere. Whether it’s in its traditional outdoor location, or alongside tools, water features or even by the tills, the possibilities are endless. With the easy-to-move unit, retailers can experiment with locations until they find the perfect one. What’s more, Kelkay’s dedicated sales and merchandising team is on hand to support retailers with the complete Home Delivery merchandising installation, walking retailers through every step to ensure they are confident in the service on offer.

Nick Jones, Commercial Director at the AMES Companies, said: “With our new home delivery service, we’re reinventing how garden retailers traditionally sell bulky aggregates. Instead of dedicating huge chunks of floorspace or filling the dreary back corners of the outdoor space, retailers can now optimise sales of our bestselling core ranges right from the heart of their store. Gone are the days of consumers searching the store for these products or worrying about getting them home. Now, they can find them quickly, easily and safely in the knowledge that within a matter of days, they will receive the products they need directly at their door. This is a win/win for both retailers and consumers.”
