October plant sales were on a par with last year, despite sales of winter bedding being hit when the weekends were very wet, the latest GTN Bestsellers data reveals.
Sales for the last week of the month were up by 9% on the same week last year, which bodes well for sales continuing into November – if the weather holds.
• The top nine positions in the GTN Bestsellers Plants Chart are all the same week-on-week with only Pansies and Dianthus dropping sales volumes.
• Echeveria were the highest chart re-entry, while Solanum climbed 16 places after a 57% increase in sales.
