The high levels of Veg-2-Gro plant sales continues to drive sales of growing media as we move through May and keep them above year-to-date levels for 2017 as well as 2018.
Sales last week were up week on week to the same level as the first Easter week this year but were almost 20% down on last year, but that was when growing media sales peaked in 2018.
Highlights were:
Westland Multi Purpose Compost with John Innes, 60 litres, re-entred the Top 50 at No 22.
Evergreen Garden Care Levington Multipurpose + John Innes, 56 litres, continues at No 1.
Westland Jack’s Magic All Purpose Compost, 40 litres, climbs 11 places after a 50% sales increase.
