STV announce partnership with Greenfingers

STV have recently announced a new charity partnership with Greenfingers that will see them commit to raising £10,000 over the next 3 years.

Children’s hospices provide crucial care and support to thousands of families with seriously ill children across the UK and much of the hospice fundraising goes towards providing equipment and the vital care which goes on inside the hospice, leaving little funding for their outside spaces. Greenfingers Charity works to create magical gardens for life-limited children and their families who spend time in hospices across the UK. They believe that time spent outdoors, away from the bedside, can offer children and families under considerable stress a vital opportunity to embrace the benefits of being in the fresh air and engaging with the natural environment.

Katy Boyd, Brand Manager said, “We are very excited to be partnering with Greenfingers as one of their Silver Sponsors. All employees will have an opportunity to take part in the activities and fund-raising efforts, and we will be inviting everyone to come up with ideas and creative ways of raising money. On top of that, the company has generously agreed to match fund every penny we raise so we hope to be able to exceed our £10,000 target!”

On behalf of Greenfingers Charity, Director of Fundraising & Communications, Linda Petrons said: “STV International have been great supporters for many years. We’re delighted to formalise a partnership as we head towards our 25th Anniversary and are very much looking forward to working with the team as they support the charity over the next three years.”

So far, the STV team have planned fancy dress days, a bake sale, a sponsored walk along the local Peddars Way and the wearing of green for Greenfingers with lots more ideas in the pipeline.
