Storms Eunice, Dudley and Franklin between them had a marked effect on garden centre sales for the third week of February with week on week sales dropping by 20% and total volume sales dipping below 2019 levels for the first time this year.
The better weather this weekend should have spurred gardeners back into action so it will be interesting to see the Epos data for the last week of February during this week. Will it be a continued record start to the year? Watch this space…
