Evergreen Garden Care to tackle the three-peak challenges for Greenfingers

Fifteen members of the Evergreen Garden Care team will be donning their walking boots and backpacks as they attempt to tackle the infamous Three-Peaks Challenge, all with the aim of raising over £10,000 for the Greenfingers charity.

Led by National Account Manager, Jessica Nicholson, the team will have 24 hours to take on the biggest peaks in Scotland (Ben Nevis – 1345m), England (Scafell Pike – 978m), and Wales (Snowdon – 1085m), racing between each to complete this mega challenge before the day is over. In total, the Evergreen team will climb over 3,400m and will spend over 10 hours in the car as they travel from Fort William to Seascale in the Lake District, before finishing their journey at Caernarfon in North Wales.

Not only will the day test the mettle of those taking part, but it is being done for a good reason – to raise vital funds for the Greenfingers charity. This challenge has been specifically set-up to raise funds for one of Greenfingers’ latest garden builds - The Nest Garden at East Anglia Children’s Hospice, The Nook. This garden, one of two to be built at The Nook, has been sponsored by Evergreen and funds raised will help to bring this space to life and help to alleviate the ever-rising costs of these garden builds.

Talking ahead of next week’s adventure, Jessica said: “Greenfingers has always been a charity close to our hearts here at Evergreen Garden Care, so for 2022 we wanted to do something special to support the creation of a garden set to be built in East Anglia.

“The Three-Peaks Challenge will not only bring our community at Evergreen closer and support our mental and physical wellbeing, but it is also in aid of a cause that brings sanctuaries for children and their families.

“The team is motivated, terrified but all around extremely excited to embark on this incredible journey and support this cherished charity. Wish us luck and please donate if you would like to support the cause!”
