Unlimited Cake Club is a scrumptious success at Thetford Garden Centre

To celebrate the opening of their new kitchen, bakery and extended food retailing area Thetford Garden Centre held a Celebration of Food on Friday evening, 28th March 2025, which included the first ever “Unlimited Cake Club” event.

Over 90 tickets were sold for the event in The Lime Kiln Kitchen where attendees were greeted with a warm salad, either Chicken Ceaser or Roasted Vegetables, unlimited tea or coffee plus the highlight of the evening: unlimited visits to the cake counter.  At the counter they were served by Thetford’s new baker, Charlotte, who had baked all of the cakes on offer for the evening.

Lucy Nixon told GTN Xtra: “The tickets for tonight’s event are the fastest selling tickets for an event we’ve ever held.  I’m sure we could have sold double if we’d had room for them.”

Head of Food at Thetford, James, said “Our main aim for the evening is to showcase our new bakery with all our cakes now baked in house and an extended range.  This is part one of our food developments, later this year we will be adding a patisserie and then next year we will be baking and selling our own food products in the retail food area.”
