The summer season for plants has finished as late summer colour and autumn planting sales increase significantly.

This week’s big plant groups that saw huge sales increases were: chrysanthemums, asters and pansies.

This week is the first since 21st April that Zonal Geraniums are not the No 1 Bestselling Plant in UK garden centres this year.

• Chrysanthemums re-entered the GTN Top 50 at No 4.
• Cyclamen climbed furthest up the chart, moving up 19 places to No 5.
• Pansy sales grew by almost 500% to re-enter at No 18.

All Plants volume sales change: Week on week DOWN 6.6%.  Year to date vs 2018 DOWN 6.3%, vs  2017 UP 2.6%.
