London’s houseplant trend shows no signs of slowing and in response to huge demand, W6 Garden Centre is dramatically expanding its indoor plant range.
The centre, based under the railway arches of Ravenscourt Park tube station in the heart of London, has created ‘The Green Room’, West London’s largest collection of indoor plants.
The arch has been respectfully restored so that the finished result will be a spectacular marriage of old brickwork and green life.
The Green Room at W6 will open its doors in the autumn 2019 with a launch event including giveaways and a talk from ethno-botanist writer James Wong.
W6 is the second unloved piece of London space transformed by owner Beryl Henderson into a flourishing garden centre. The first, 19 years ago, was N1 at Dalston in North London. W6 won an award in 2017 for best boutique garden centre. Its café focuses on a plant-based, seasonal sourced menu created by head-chef Anton Petrov.
