Snowy garden wins garden centre a gold medal

Monkton Elm Garden & Pet Centre won a large gold medal and ‘Best in Show’ for their ‘Snow in Summer’ garden at the Taunton Flower Show.

Andrew Pitman, the centre’s plant manager, said: “It was a summer cottage garden with a twist. Snow coated all of the main features of the garden and even the plants were sprinkled with a dusting of it.”

The theme was designed to represent our changing weather.

Andrew added: “One of the judges commented that they thought it was the best show garden we have ever exhibited at the Taunton Flower Show.
