The Mayor of Dorchester to open Poundbury Gardens’ 10-year celebrations
To mark its 10th anniversary, Poundbury Gardens will begin 10 days of celebrations with a cake cutting ceremony on Tuesday 1 March at 10am. The Mayor of Dorchester, Councillor Robin Potter will cut the cake and officially declare the celebrations open. Lucy Simpson, manager of Poundbury Gardens, explains: “Reaching such a milestone is something to be celebrated and we are honoured that The Mayor of Dorchester is attending to get the festivities under way.
'It has been a great pleasure for our team to be part of the flourishing Poundbury community, so we’re hoping for as many people as possible to join us during our 10 days of celebrations.” The cake cutting ceremony is open to the public and there will be free cake with every hot drink throughout the day.
