British Plant Fair’s Marketplace is a popular feature

Despite the challenges of the 2012 season, the Marketplace was a huge success at the last show. It enabled visitors to make instant purchases from the broad range of stock from numerous suppliers through a simple and efficient system. This resulted in visitors spending over £50,000 in the dedicated area over the two days.

Visitors will find shelf after shelf of sample stock from growers exhibiting at the show in the Marketplace. Visitors can order any combination of stock and it will be all delivered the week after the Show in one load with one delivery note and one invoice, saving the hassle of having to open new accounts and work through reams of delivery notes and invoices. All stock in the Marketplace will be sold in shelf quantities and details will be displayed for each product line.

The International Breeders’ Area provides breeders and their agents with the opportunity to promote their ranges of new varieties. Displays focus on new introductions of varieties that the breeder or agent is offering to UK growers for finished plant production.

The dedicated area really adds value to the show, bringing together breeders from around the world alongside the best the UK can offer, resulting in the perfect combination for the many visiting growers, retailers and landscapers.

Exhibitors in the International Breeders’ Area 2013 include: Beekenkamp Plants B.V, Benary, Fitzgerald Nurseries, Plantipp B.V, Selecta and Volmary.

ProVaR is a not for profit organisation established to promote protected plants to its members in the UK and to collect royalties. It represents 17 breeders and 187 plants from the UK and Europe offering the widest range of protected plants available to UK growers in a single catalogue.

This year ProVar will be showcasing more new varieties including Ceratostigma ‘Sapphire Ring’, Choisya ‘Royal Lace’, Euonymus ‘Paloma Blanca’, Lychnis ‘Scarlet O’Hara’, Salvia ‘Blue Note’, Salvia ‘Red Swing’, Salvia ‘Salmon Dance’, Salvia ‘Violin Music’ and Scabiosa ‘Magic’.

Make sure you visit the HTA Hub where HTA Regional Account Managers and others specialist staff will be on hand to answer your questions and update you on the latest HTA initiatives and ways in which we can support your business. The area will be surrounded by merchandised displays of roses, heathers, seasonal plants and conifers representing some of the HTA specialist groups.
