In a bid to end the year with some festive cheer, Perrywood Sudbury launched its annual Christmas cheer campaign. The garden centre, which is dedicated to supporting the local community, teamed up with The Salvation Army in Sudbury to deliver indoor planted containers to individuals who, for one reason or another, deserve some Christmas cheer.
Two of the planters went to Joan and Betty, both of whom have had bad falls this year, and have been recovering. They were both so grateful to receive the planters.
Lieutenant Rachel Hepburn, The Salvation Army Sudbury, comments: “It was wonderful to partner with Perrywood Sudbury with their mission to bring Christmas Cheer! Surprising people with these beautiful planters, seeing those smiles, and reminding them that they are valued and loved this Christmas was a real privilege.”
Debbie Wrigley, Communications Manager, Perrywood Garden Centre comments: “We are delighted to support the local community with our Christmas cheer campaign.
"We recognise that for some people Christmas can be a difficult time, especially this year. We are so pleased this has bought joy and happiness to the recipients and thank The Salvation Army Sudbury for making this possible.”
