Christmas product sales performing better than last year!

The half-term holidays have certainly been kind to those garden centres with their Christmas displays already built. The GTN Bestsellers chart reveals that Christmas product sales were an encouraging 9% up on the same week last year, and for the first time this year the Top 50 volumes are ahead of 2011 levels.

There is no movement at the top of the chart with the five highest selling products staying put – all of them showing increases in sales, including History & Heraldry Christmas Money Box at No 1.

The big chart movers were Williams Snowman Ball, the highest new entry at No 22, and Kaemingk Marble Look Plate (33cm Red), the highest re-entry at No 34. Kaemingk also had the highest climber with their Snow Carpet, moving up 22 places at No 28.

There were three other new entries – Kaemingk Mask with Leaves, Pearl, at No 37 (pictured); Premier Decorations Battery Operated Eva Penguins at No 41; and Kaemingk Battery Operated Lights, set of 20, at No 47.
