Four new members take seats on LOFA council

Four new members have joined the LOFA Council – Martin Carnaby (Country Manager for the UK and Ireland at Broil King), David Cotgrave (Sales Director at Hartman Outdoor Products), Stephen Davies (Director at Southsea Deckchairs), and Jody Grimmer (Managing Director at Leisuregrow).

Every year LOFA holds elections to introduce fresh faces to itscouncil. This year the association had four available seats with 10outstanding candidates competing. They will now team up alongside Steve Millington, LOFA Chairman, and Alwyn Williams, Vice Chairman, and the other members of council, to ensure the organisation evolves alongside the ever-shifting landscape of our industry and broader retail world.

Martin Carnaby - Country Manager for the UK and Ireland at Broil King

With over 25 years of experience in the leisure industry, including key roles at Calor Gas (as Head of Retail), Weber, Landmann, and now Broil King, Martin brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. He oversees all sales and operations in the UK and Ireland, leading a dedicated team of more than ten employees. Martin’s drive to rejoin council stems from his passion for representing the barbecue industry and helping LOFA members harness their collective wisdom for the benefit of everyone involved, including members, retailers and consumers. He’s a firm believer that actions speak louder than words

David Cotgrave - Sales Director at Hartman Outdoor Products Ltd

David brings a mix of passion and expertise to the outdoor garden furniture sector. With a keen eye on trends, challenges, and opportunities in the outdoor living market. By working closely with the council and it's members, David aims to champion growth and sustainability in the industry. He’s committed to fostering a tight knit community among industry professionals, believing that open dialogue and collaboration will create a more connected and supportive environment for all stakeholders.

Stephen Davies - Director at Southsea Deckchairs Ltd

Starting out as a deckchair attendant on Southsea Beach, Stephen now manages Southsea Deckchairs with his wife, Roma. Since joining council in 2008, he has come to appreciate the people and principles that make this organisation special. His motivation for re-election is rooted in his dedication to continuing the positive work LOFA do, supporting members and contributing to Lofa’s ongoing development.

Jody Grimmer - Managing Director at Leisuregrow Products Limited

Jody Grimmer the Managing Director at Leisuregrow Products Limited, has been shaping the family-owned business for over two decades. He joined in 1999, a year after its founding by his father, Richard Grimmer, who has also served on the LOFA board. With 24 year’s experience Jody is a seasoned professional. Leisuregrow proudly supports four major brands, including LG Outdoor furniture, Grillstream BBQs, and NOMA indoor and outdoor lighting all active participants in LOFA. Jody is excited to work with fellow LOFA members to tackle industry challenges and uncover growth opportunities.

These newly elected council members are poised to bring their extensive experience and fresh perspectives to LOFA, ensuring the organisation remains at the forefront of our ever-evolving industry.
