March sales break all records
Exclusive GTN Bestsellers analysis

Last week saw many centres reporting their busiest days and weeks ever, and with high volumes of furniture and BBQ sales being seen in the GTN Bestsellers Epos data, turnover will most certainly have set new records for the month, as did sales volumes.

Last week wasn’t quite a new record week for sales weekly sales volumes. Sales totals of several bank holiday weeks in previous years still sit higher. Provided supplies of plants and product hold up to demand it won’t be long before they are broken.

Veg-2-Gro sales have really taken off this year. Sales were not only double last year, but also double the average for the month since 2014.

Please note for the next seven weeks these year on year comparisons are vs 2019 as garden centres were closed for Lockdown #1 in 2020.
