The Diddly Squat Farm Plantable Garden Planner has been named a winner at The Christmas Wishlist Awards 2026, securing one of just four winning places in the highly competitive Home & Garden Gifts category. It also won the Judges Pick award.
Part of The Big Christmas Press Show, The Christmas Wishlist Awards recognise products expected to make an impact during the festive season, with winners selected for their appeal as desirable, innovative and giftable Christmas products.
The award puts the Diddly Squat Farm Plantable Garden Planner firmly on the Christmas gifting list – but this is no ordinary journal. Created through the partnership between Diddly Squat Farm and Blue Diamond Garden Centres, the planner is designed for gardeners who like their planning with a little less paperwork and a lot more growing.
It combines practical gardening information with the unmistakable character of Diddly Squat Farm, featuring gardening hints and tips, a gardener’s logbook, the Luna calendar and one particularly important question: “What’s your herb birthday?” And when the planning is done, the growing begins.
The planner contains 12 plantable UK-made seed papers, each containing seeds for a selection of vegetables and herbs. Simply plant the paper, water it and watch it grow. Once the harvest arrives, gardeners can turn their home-grown produce into something worth eating, with inspiration from Diddly Squat Kitchen recipes.
In other words, it is a Christmas present that doesn’t end up forgotten in a drawer on Boxing Day. Lovingly crafted in Leicestershire and Cornwall by a fourth-generation family business, the planner uses paper made in the UK, with the seed paper also produced in the UK.
The Christmas Wishlist Award is the latest milestone in the growing three-year partnership between Blue Diamond Garden Centres and Diddly Squat Farm, bringing together Blue Diamond’s horticultural expertise with the distinctive personality and humour of Diddly Squat Farm to develop a range of new and exclusive gardening and garden gifting products.
The partnership first launched at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2026 with the Diddly Squat Farm Rosé Rose and has since expanded into a growing collection of products designed to bring a little more fun to gardening and gifting.
