Plant sales soared last week and although they were 13% down on the same week last year, total plant volumes were 86% higher than the same week in 2019.
Year to date, plant sales are 9% up on last year so far and 22% up on pre-pandemic 2019 levels.
Week ending 20th March saw more significant movement of young veg plants with tomato plants moving up to No 3, with Dianthus holding onto the No 2 spot, the other way round from the same week last year.
Primula continues at No 1, still outselling the combined volumes of Dianthus, Tomato, Pansy and Strawberry plants.
Other highlights of the week:
Clematis are the highest climber of the week, up 17 places to No 22.
Lithodora re-enter the GTN Top 50 at No 26.
Senetti make a return to the chart at No 39 with sales quadrupled week on week.
