Sales recover after storms to cap Fabulous February Exclusive GTN Bestsellers garden centre Epos data analysis
The storms in the middle of the month may have dented garden centre sales but they came roaring back last week to cap off a fabulous month. Total garden centre sales volumes were up by 36% on 2021, up by 25% on 2020 and 19% on 2019.
That just illustrates the strength of appeal garden centres have at the moment, not just for plants and gardening lines, but also for their wonderful catering offerings and the plethora of other lines, including kitchenware, gifts and food.
With Garden Re-Leaf Day on 19th March and Mother’s Day on 27th March we have two wonderful opportunities to build on this strength and kick off the season with a spring in our step.
