The third edition of GROW London, described by James Wong as a ‘horticultural hipsterville’, takes place again this year on Hampstead Heath (24-26 June).
The fair is billed as a boutique/contemporary outdoor lifestyle and garden fair for city dwellers. It promises ideas and inspiration for everything from a high rise balcony to a family garden or rolling estate, with more than 100 carefully chosen exhibitors.
Two new features will appeal to foodies and design-lovers alike. GROW Gourmet is dedicated to artisan food and drink producers while GROW Living, a showcase of favourite and emerging designers, modern gardeners and craft makers, will highlight design-led products for a modern lifestyle, including one offs and limited editions.
Nursery exhibitors will include Hortus Loci, Hardy’s Cottage Garden Plants, Pennard Plants, Cooks Garden Centre, The Plant Specialist and Glendon Plants, Lime Cross Conifers, Hooks Green Herbs and Swallowfields.
The Serenity Garden and Spa by Clifton Nurseries will be one of four feature gardens.
Presenters of free workshops, demonstrations and talks will include ‘guerrilla gardener’ Richard Reynolds, designer Matthew Wilson, plant hunter Tom Hart-Dyke, Telegraph columnist Helen Yemm and ‘Queen of Herbs’ Jekka McVicar.
Maggie’s, the cancer charity, has been chosen to benefit from ticket sales to the Garden Party Charity Preview on Thursday 23 June.
