The Klondyke Group has opened a new garden centre in Wilmslow, Cheshire, to replace one destroyed by fire in June 2011.

The new build was opened last month following the fire that completely destroyed the original facility on site. The centre encompasses an Aquatics Concession, Craft Shop, Pet Shop and a Coffee Shop facility with 180 covers.

Commenting on the re-opening Bob Hewitt, Chief Executive, said: “We are extremely pleased with the new garden centre and have received very positive feedback from the customers. I would like to thank all of our staff for their hard work prior to the re-launch.”

The project was planned and managed by Pleydell Smithyman and the main contractor was RH Irving.
