Spring into RHS Gardens for £1 during National Lottery Open Week

The week of 15 to 23 March is the perfect time to enjoy the beauty of spring for just £1 at Royal Horticultural Society Gardens thanks to this year’s National Lottery Open Week.

Open Week is the National Lottery’s annual celebration of players. It is a way for National Lottery funded venues to say thank you for the £30 million raised for good causes every week by offering free entry, discounts and exclusive deals at attractions across the UK.

During National Lottery Open Week, visitors to the any of the spectacular RHS gardens – RHS Bridgewater in Greater Manchester, RHS Harlow Carr in Yorkshire, RHS Hyde Hall in Essex, RHS Rosemoor in Devon and RHS Wisley in Surrey – who present a digital or physical National Lottery ticket, Scratchcard or Instant Win game will pay just £1 admission per person for up to four people.

And it couldn’t be a better time to visit – spring at RHS Gardens is a very special time. There are pockets of vibrant colour, from bright blue pushkinias to luscious yellow daffodils. Some early star magnolias and cherries can also delight visitors in early Spring.

Young visitors can enjoy the interactive Guess How Much I Love You™ trail in all five gardens, bouncing, hopping and stretching their arms wide like Little Nutbrown Hare, while exploring colours, textures and shapes and learning about nature, growing and the changing seasons.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund has supported the RHS Gardens in many important ways, including free gardening activities and events in local communities. The restoration of the historic laboratory at RHS Wisley and the creation of a centre for horticultural science and learning were also made possible via a grant from the Fund.
