Bulrush sponsor 2026 BOA Technical Conference

Bulrush Horticulture, one of the UK’s leading growing media and substrate suppliers, is delighted to again confirm sponsorship of the annual British Ornamentals Association (BOA) Technical Conference next month, as it continues to support the next generation of horticultural professionals.

As a firm believer in encouraging innovation in the growing sector and a long‑standing supporter of the event, Bulrush is proud to once again back one of the most respected technical gatherings in the ornamentals sector.

The BOA Technical Conference has become a cornerstone of the horticultural calendar, valued by commercial growers, researchers, technical specialists and suppliers for its practical insights, evidence‑based content, and collaborative atmosphere. Each year, the event provides a vital platform for sharing knowledge, exploring innovation, and addressing the technical challenges shaping modern ornamental production.

Bulrush’s Sales Director, Alex Julien says: “We’re really pleased to be sponsoring the BOA Technical Conference again this year. It remains one of the most important opportunities for the industry to come together, share what we’re learning, exchange ideas, and stay ahead of emerging developments. For us, the event is a natural fit, as it consistently reflects the technical priorities and challenges that our customers care about the most. With this in mind, supporting the conference aligns perfectly with our commitment to help growers succeed through high‑quality substrates, technical expertise, and ongoing innovation – and we look forward to the 2026 line-up.”

The 2026 programme will feature a full day of technical presentations, research updates, and panel discussions, covering key topics, such as sustainable growing media, resource efficiency, plant health, and advances in production systems. A bonus session will also take a closer look at the current state of peat-free growing, touching on market demand, costs, legislation and technical challenges. For growers navigating evolving market expectations and regulatory pressures, the conference continues to offer invaluable guidance and practical takeaways.

Bulrush Horticulture’s renewed sponsorship of the conference reflects its dedication to strengthening the ornamental horticulture sector and fostering collaboration across the supply chain. The substrate specialist’s involvement underscores its belief in the importance of shared learning and industry‑wide progress.

The substrate specialist also praised the BOA’s ‘under 35 for £35’ initiative that offers discounted places for attendees aged 35 and under, helping to ensure the conference is accessible for young professionals looking to build their future in horticulture.

Alex Julien adds: “Bringing new talent into the sector and supporting that next generation of horticulturalists is essential. Giving young professionals the chance to learn, connect, and feel part of the wider horticultural community is one of the best investments we can make in the future of the industry.”

This year’s event will be hosted at the NFU Conference Centre in Stoneleigh on February 4th, with a pre-conference dinner and annual awards evening set to take place the night before at the Woodland Lodge Hotel in Leamington Spa.

Tickets are still available and will be on sale until 23rd January, 2026, so book yours today.

Full details can be found on the BOA website.
