BHETA recruits Lee Martin as Sector Manager for DIY and Garden

BHETA has appointed Lee Martin as its new DIY Sector Manager for Home Improvement and Garden.  His role will be to support existing members with added value initiatives in the home and garden markets, as well as building the membership base through recruitment.

A well-known industry figure with a substantial career history in both the DIY and builders merchant sectors, Lee has worked in trade and retail sales director and manager roles in FMCG, technical and industrial environments from Oakey, Stanley, and Tetrosyl, through to Castolin Eutechtic.   Dealing with national multiple retailers such as B&Q, The Range, Wickes-Travis Perkins, Homebase, and Toolbank, Lee also has experience of global organisations including Tarmac-Lafarge, Bostik, and Evo-Stik Mapei International.

With a track record including the management of both UK and European distribution models, as well as P&L responsibility, Lee can support BHETA members with strategic business plans for growth, domestic and international business development, product marketing, brand launches, managing teams and processes, implementing change, and financial management.

Commenting on his new role at BHETA, Lee said, “I’m delighted to be joining the BHETA team and taking on a new challenge.  I believe my experience, drive, and focus on all aspects of the home improvement and garden market can be put to good use.  It is great opportunity for me to contribute to the continuous enhancement of members' engagement with BHETA while adding value to their businesses.”

Will Jones, Chief Operating Officer at BHETA added, “Lee brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the established BHETA team, and I look forward to working with him spearheading existing and new added value initiatives for BHETA members.”

Further information about BHETA’s extensive programme of events and initiatives together with all BHETA member services can be found on the BHETA website www.bheta.co.uk or by contacting the BHETA Member Services Team on 0121 237 1130.
