Sales of growing media saw a significant rise on the previous week with multipurpose compost together with top soil performing particularly well.

• Westland Top Soil (Value Pack, 35 litres) moved to No 2 spot while Scotts Levington Organic Blend Top Soil (25 litres) was the highest climber, jumping 18 places to No 20.
• Arthur Bowers Top Soil (20 litres) was a re-entry, while the company’s John Innes No 3 (25 litres) was the highest returning line.
• The highest new entry was Westland Multipurpose + John Innes (20 litres + 5 litres extra).
