More than 130 projects shortlisted for APL Awards

The Association of Professional Landscapers Awards took place earlier this month, but preparations are already well underway for next year's event, with the Horticultural Trades Association revealing the businesses that have made the shortlist for the APL Awards 2027.

More than 130 projects created by 73 of the HTA’s specialist landscaper and designer members feature in the shortlist for the prestigious awards, which celebrate excellence in the industry and recognise the outstanding work of association members over the past year.

The next stage of the judging process begins after Easter, when a panel of respected industry professionals visits the shortlisted projects. Bob Sweet (BBC Gardeners’ World Live), Rod Winrow (Garden House Design), Laura Anstiss (Oakmore Green), Rupert Keys (TASK Academy), and Phil Tremayne (APL General Manager) will use their wealth of knowledge and experience to meticulously evaluate and select the best from the list of outstanding projects to advance to the final round.

Winners will be announced at the APL Awards ceremony on Friday, 12 March 2027, at the Brewery in London.

Phil Tremayne, General Manager of the Association of Professional Landscapers (APL), said: “Congratulations to everyone who’s made it onto the 2027 awards shortlist, even though it only feels like yesterday since we were celebrating the winners of the 2026 APL Awards.

“The standard of entries this year is once again exceptional. We have so many talented and professional landscaper and designer members, all of whom deserve to be recognised and celebrated. I know the judges, and I will have a tough time deciding on our 2027 finalists, because all the members behind the projects have demonstrated a commitment to quality landscaping and customer satisfaction.”

During the APL Awards 2026 ceremony at The Brewery in London on 13 March, Landform Consultants Ltd were crowned ‘Supreme Winner’ for Berkshire Garden. More details on the 2026 winners can be found on the website: hta.org.uk/apl-awards
