AutoPot unveil Khloris: An interior-friendly, automatic plant watering system

AutoPot have announced the release of the Khloris automatic plant watering system. A completely unique innovation, Khloris has been designed to inspire and enable growers of all abilities to raise stunning, diverse, long-lasting house plants with ease – in any indoor setting.

At the heart of Khloris is a world-beating form of irrigation technology, proven in the hands of champion growers, commercial greenhouse producers, and absolute beginners alike. We’ve taken  that technology and reimagined the design of the system around it for use in the home.

Forget Watering - With Khloris

The simple-yet-significant advantage of Khloris is that it automates irrigation, and so totally eliminates hand watering. This makes it ideal for those who love plants but lack the time, expertise, or physical capacity to tend to them. In truth, however, labour-saving is only a fraction of Khloris’ full potential.

Responsive Irrigation - For Spectacular, Intricate, Singular Results

Unlike any other watering system, Khloris is fully-responsive to plant needs. Uniquely, it irrigates only in response to uptake - exactly matching supply to demand. Because of this Khloris can yield truly exceptional plants that can absolutely redefine a living space. The system also completely redefines the practicalities of plant care.

With Khloris, over- or under-watering are a thing of the past. Growers need not worry about the particular requirements of different varieties or their indoor climate.

Better still, the system operates 100% power-free, requiring no electricity whatsoever. It needs no mains water pressure either - making it sustainable, low-cost, and stress free to set up and leave unattended.

Jason Ralph-Smith, AutoPot MD, on Khloris: “With Khloris, we wanted to put the incredible potential of our irrigation systems into something that worked aesthetically and functionally in any interior space.

The inspiration for the system came from a trip to South Korea. We were there visiting a commercial partner who desperately wanted a plant watering system that was suitable for use in indoor living spaces.

A particular issue for our partner was the typical living arrangements of many urban-dwelling South Koreans. In an increasingly familiar global trend, many people in cities there live without access to outside space, yet crave a little green haven of their own.

The wish-list for a system was something which:

  1. Anyone could use to great effect
  2. Was visually appealing in a household setting
  3. Required no power or mains water pressure - and thus could be placed anywhere, cost almost nothing to run, and be left safely unattended

The only box our existing range could not tick was B). So we set about rectifying that. The result was Khloris”

Product Details

Available in copper, metallic sage, or blackberry, Khloris includes two pots equipped with water control devices and a reservoir. Along with these come all the colour-coordinated pipe and fittings required to create the ideal layout for any space. The system comes packaged in a full colour FSC-Certified retail box which features beautiful in-use photography, quick setup guides, and QR links to video resources.

Product Launch

The launch of Khloris will include a full multi-platform programme of product information and promotion. A wide range of video and animated assets will be showcased across digital channels and distributed via our extensive mailing lists. Together with a comprehensive suite of images, instruction, and copy resources, these assets will be readily available to support both retailers and consumers.

Digital output will be complemented by print advertising across a wide range of horticultural and lifestyle publications. Our team will also be exhibiting Khloris at a full roster of trade and public shows including the Garden Press Event, RHS Malvern Spring Festival, Glee, and the RHS Malvern Autumn Show.

Khloris will soon be available from a wide range of outlets as well as direct from autopot.co.uk. AutoPot has a network of around 40 garden centres of mixed sizes across the UK. It also partners wholesalers operating out of multiple countries throughout Europe and worldwide.

About AutoPot Watering Systems - Manufacturers of Khloris

AutoPot Watering Systems allow growers of all abilities to grow anything, anywhere, power-free, with no running water required.

Whether its flowers, fruit, root vegetables, vine crops, brassicas, squashes, spices, or even pulses, our systems are capable of responding to plant requirements better than any other form of irrigation for one simple reason: the plants control their own watering.

The plants are put in control by the patented AQUAvalve, the device at the heart of every AutoPot Watering System. The AQUAvalve regulates the supply of water and fertiliser to the container in which the plant is situated. Only once a plant has exhausted the supply will the AQUAvalve reopen to admit a fresh fill. Its 100% responsive and not a single drop of water or fertiliser goes to waste.

Powered by gravity alone, AutoPot Watering Systems require no electricity and no running water, so you can set up pretty much wherever you please. Better still, you can walk away or holiday with no fear of leaving utilities switched on.

Economically and ecologically the systems represent a safe, sustainable solution that, given the rising pressures and costs of utilities, couldnt be more timely.
