Gardman fire destroys the stock and the building - drone video and company statement

Drone footage from Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue, filmed on Monday, shows the extent of the fire at the Gardman warehouse and the company have issued a statement saying:  "...the fire has destroyed both the stock and the building".

View the footage on YouTube by clicking the red play button in the image above or click this link to the Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue website.

From the Gardman website today:

13th March 2018 update:

Shortly after midnight on 12th March a major fire broke out at the Gardman warehouse in Daventry.

As communicated yesterday, thankfully there were no casualties and the emergency services remain on site as they continue to investigate. Northamptonshire Police have confirmed they have arrested a man on suspicion of arson connected with the fire.

Whilst we do not yet have full access to the site, our initial assessment is that the damage sustained by the fire has destroyed both the stock and the building. We are now working tirelessly on a business recovery plan to restore our supply position and help our customers.

According to the Northamptonshire Fire & Rescue website this afternoon (Tuesday) the man previously arrested on suspicion of arson has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

This is truly saddening to see this happen to the best company in the industry. Despite its recent difficulties (which were getting better) they had the best sales team and the best products and have supported our centre over many year. We need Gardman back... the INDUSTRY needs Gardman back ASAP!!

Devastating news for the industry at such a crucial time.
