Dismay as The Garden Centre Group stores shut at 5pm
Stores within The Garden Centre Group, apart from the recently acquired Garden & Leisure centres, have been told to close at 5pm instead of the normal 6pm until March 1.

GTN Xtra have learned that TGCG staff are now 'banking'  the hour due to the early closing, and the accummulated time will then be used during the busier months later in the year when the centres revert to normal opening hours. The stores are opening as normal at 9am.

Concessions within the The Garden Centre Group are also having to close their shops at 5pm, causing dismay from at least one Maidenhead Aquatics manager.

According to the Garden & Leisure website, centres like Endsleigh, Cadbury and Huntingdon are still staying open from 9am until 6pm at the moment.

GTN Xtra tried to contact The Garden Centre Group to discuss the matter but no one was available for comment.
