Wyevale Nurseries to showcase British-grown native container tree range at Four Oaks

Wyevale Nurseries is showcasing its home-grown native container trees at Four Oaks Trade Show and is inviting attendees to meet its team to discuss its ‘Best of British’ range.

As one of the UK’s leading commercial nurseries, it will be taking its iconic collection to the show in Cheshire on September 3 and 4.

Managing Director at Wyevale Nurseries in Hereford, Andy Johnson says: “Four Oaks Trade Show is one of the most important trading events in our annual calendar. Lots of our customers attend, so it’s a great place to meet and catch-up and we’d like to invite everyone over to our stand during the event for a coffee and to chat through our British-grown, native container tree range.

“We will have five of our Best of British specimens on the stand. This range will give all-year-round availability of native trees for planting schemes, which is a key trend and demand we’re seeing from the amenity sector at the moment.

“We’re inviting everyone interested in finding out more to come and see Sales Director, Kersten Catella, Amenity Sales Manager, Andy Congera, Landscape/Amenity Sales Key Account Manager, John Lawrence, Garden Design and Domestic Landscape Sales Manager, Adrian Hoare and Amenity Sales Executive, Dan Maskew, who will be staffing our stand at D37-38 during the two days.

“We are currently undergoing a large development of our container tree production site. The main objective of our project is to meet an ever-growing demand for container trees from our customers and produce them ourselves improving our overall carbon footprint. The target is improving our container tree lifting capacity by up to 15,000 trees annually depending on size. In terms of environmental sustainability of our operations, we use peat free compost and will be recycling rainwater going forward.”

Wyevale Nurseries has a product selection that’s admired across the industry and the talented team regularly introduces new, award-winning plant varieties.

Its main business is to supply landscape contractors, local authorities, foresters, landowners and garden centres with a comprehensive array of trees, shrubs, hedging, herbaceous and specimen plants.

Andy adds: “After a very productive and exciting show last year, our 2024 Four Oaks team is keen to keep the energy and interest in our products going this year. It’s a wonderful event for networking, as well as helping to spotlight all the brilliant plants and ranges available to both the amenity market. We’d love to see as many of our customers, old and new, as possible at the show. Everyone will receive a very warm welcome at our stand.”

The Four Oaks Trade Show is an international exhibition covering the whole of commercial ornamental horticulture. The event takes place on a 23-acre nursery site in Cheshire, close to the Jodrell Bank Radio Telescope, covering an area of 13,000m² under glass with additional outdoor areas.

Displays of plant material form the heart of the show, with plant producers using the platform to launch the next season’s lines. Mature stock and specimen plants from across Europe create showcase displays. Machinery, growing media, sundries, retail products, Christmas ware, services can also be found at Four Oaks.
