Finance for Non-Finance Managers workshop

Forming part of an extensive programme of GIMA Knowledge Exchange Workshops will be the latest one-day session entitled ‘Finance for Non-Finance Managers’.

Perfect for those without a finance background, this lively and interactive topic will help delegates become more comfortable with financial reporting and data. With places filling up fast, interested parties are urged to book their place now to avoid missing out.

The lifeblood of any business, finance can often be perceived as a dry topic, however the ‘Finance for Non-Finance Managers’ – led by Cedar Associates - will showcase it in a new light.

The aim of the workshop will be to arm participants with the ability to confidently highlight what profit is, and detail how they can affect it. By the end of the day they will also be able to analyse and interpret financial information, better understand the inter-relationship  between different figures and ratios, and learn how to use financial information to make informed decisions for their department and the business.

Topics up for discussion throughout the day will include contribution of income and expenditure to profit and loss, key financial measures and ratios, forecasting and budgeting, managing costs and margin, and setting financial objectives.

Further information about Knowledge Exchange workshops can be found at www.gima.org.uk. Open to both members and non-members, GIMA is urging interested parties to secure their place now as space is limited. Bookings can be made for individual workshops (GIMA Members: £195 + VAT / Non-members: £225 + VAT) or as a suite of two or more workshops (GIMA Members: £175 + VAT / Non-members: £205 + VAT).
