Haskins Snowhill named South East’s Garden Centre of the Year

Haskins Snowhill in Copthorne, West Sussex, has been named the South East’s Destination Garden Centre of the Year by the Garden Centre Association, recognising the team’s commitment to customer service and product quality, as well as the centre’s long-standing place in the local community.

Snowhill also won regional awards for customer service, outdoor living, garden products retail, and commercial innovation and creativity. Its restaurant was named joint winner of the catering excellence award, reflecting high standards across the whole centre.

David Lily, General Manager of Haskins Snowhill, said: “We are incredibly proud to be named the South East’s Destination Garden Centre of the Year. The award belongs to everyone at Snowhill, from our shop floor and restaurant teams to our delivery drivers, managers, and cleaning colleagues. Every role contributes to the welcome and standards our customers see.

“Our focus has been on doing the fundamentals exceptionally well, listening to customers, communicating clearly across the centre, and presenting great products in a clean, welcoming environment. The team has made an exceptional effort to keep improving, and the award shows what we can achieve when everyone works together.

“Snowhill has always been rooted in the local community. Some customers remember visiting as children and now bring their own families; that loyalty means a great deal to us and makes the recognition even more special.”

The regional success builds on Snowhill’s third-place finish in the national Destination Garden Centre of the Year category earlier in 2026. Snowhill now hopes to improve on its national top-three result.

David added: “Winning the South East award is a huge achievement, but we are always looking at how we can do better. Our ambition is to make Snowhill the best destination garden centre in the country, while continuing to listen to our customers and remain part of the community that has supported us for generations.”
