Mirfield acquisition grows British Garden Centres to 62

British Garden Centres has taken over Mirfield Garden Centre, formerly known as Whiteleys. As is now the BGC way, the centre has been renamed to recognise its location; just under 2 miles from Mirfield, West Yorkshire.

Phillippa Stubbs, Director of BGC South, welcomed the addition of Mirfield "This is a great centre that we have known for many years. I'm delighted that it is joining the BGC family and look forward to getting to know the team properly in the coming weeks. The restaurant, with its outdoor deck looking across the valley, is a strong feature of the centre."

As the UK's largest family-run garden centre operator British Garden Centres will develop the centre to best serve the local community. The 2 ½ acre site is 10 miles from the groups Birchencliffe Garden Centre. Mirfield Garden Centre is the fourth to join the group this year, cementing the companies position as the fastest growing garden centre group in the UK.
