Bark but no bite in growing media sales

Bark sales provided some solace in the GTN Bestsellers Growing Media chart, which saw sales volumes drift 8% from the previous week.

Westland Bed and Border Chipped Bark (70 litres) was the highest climber, jumping 27 places to No 16, and was closely followed by Westland Plant Protection Bark, the highest re-entry at No 18. Another product to increase its sales was Westland Decorative Mini Bark.

Other good performers this week included:

  • Gro-Sure Vegetable Compost (50 litres), up 183% on last week.
  • Scotts Miracle-Gro Organic Choice Premium Garden Soil (25 litres), up 146%.
