Mr Fothergill's Seeds has appointed Jon-Paul Schofield as salesman for its territory comprising a corridor either side of the A1 from Lincolnshire in the north to London in the south. He has previously worked in the communications industry in both the UK and Europe.

Jon-Paul, who lives in Peterborough, has a family connection with the seed trade, as his grandfather once worked for the well-known Bees Seeds brand. 

An ex semi-professional footballer, Jon-Paul still plays the game, and also enjoys golf and spending time in the gym.  He has a claim to fame in being the cousin of John McVie, bass player with Fleetwood Mac.
