Briers recognised with a special accolade for their #glovie campaign

Above: With a string of finalist nominations the night went from strength to strength for Briers, culminating with the surprise award of a Golden Glove – an award especially given to recognise all Briers’ effort in creating the hugely successful #glovie campaign - raising both awareness of and much needed funds for the wonderful charity Greenfingers.

This year’s GIMA awards took place in the prestigious surroundings of the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales. Where the good and the great of the gardening industry gathered to celebrate and recognize success. Including the 'Glovies' campaign which raised over £8,400 thanks to donations from the sales of gloves by Briers.

Greenfingers Trustee and Garden Re-Leaf Day Founder Boyd Douglas-Davies presented the special Golden Glove to Jackie Eades, Briers managing director, helping to finish the glitzy evening on a real high.

Jackie was overwhelmed and incredibly touched by this kind gesture and extra effort made to recognize the hard work she, her team and industry supporters had put into making the Briers #glovie campaign such a success for Greenfingers. Thanks of course to all the garden centres who backed the product and the thousands of customers who bought them too!

Greenfingers is a charity that Jackie and the Briers team are incredibly proud to support. This autumn sees Briers ongoing support and commitment with the special creation of the ‘#glovie Greenfingers glove’ as well as a ‘Kids tool & #glovie Greenfingers glove set’. All to be revealed at GLEE!!!!

Helping to spread the Greenfingers message and help share a bit of (g)love along the way…

The #glovie marketing campaign wasn’t Briers only success. Some of the earlier night’s highs included all these finalist positions. The team were certainly in a deservedly jubilant mood after all this recognition!
