Hillier's Chelsea garden will feature a Memory Tree

The Hillier garden at next month’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show will feature a ‘Memory Tree’, where visitors are invited to write down their favourite gardening memory, sign a copper plant tag and hang it on a branch.

By the end of the week, Hilliers hope to have amassed a spectacular display of hanging plant tags, each representing every visitor to the stand.

The idea is being run in conjunction with the Wessex Cancer Trust, and its long-term supporter and gardening legend, Alan Titchmarsh, will be the first person to place a tag.

The host tree is Davidia involucrate (pictured).
