Tumbling Tom leads the way for veg plant sales
 
Tomato plants move back to the top of the GTN Bestsellers Veg-2-Gro chart as gardeners prepare to hit supermarket veg sales during the summer by growing their own bumper crop.

Tomato Tumbling Red Tom is the most popular variety as total tomoto volume sales in the Top 50 increase by 37% week on week.

The main highlights this week were:
  • Quantil Courgette Golden 8cm was the highest re-entry at No 14.
  • Quantil Tomato Sweet Aperitif 8.5cm was the highest climber, jumping 28 places to No 22.
  • Quantil Chilli Pepper Cayenne 8cm was the highest new entry at No 39.
