Compost sales holding firm

Compost sales were down on the previous week’s high levels but encouragingly still ahead of the same period in 2012 (+56%) and 2013 (+8%).

The highest re-entry in this week’s GTN Bestsellers Growing Media chart was Vital Earth Organic Compost (50 litres) at No 21.

Other star performers this week include:

  • Scotts Levington Multipurpose Compost with John Innes (55 litres) is the highest climber, jumping 42 places to No 7.
  • Scotts also have two products returning to the Top 50 bestselling items – Organic Choice Top Soil (25 litres) and Multi Purpose Compost (50 litres).
  • Westland Mini Bark (50 litres) is another strong performer, returning to the chart at No 44.
  • Arthur Bowers Multipurpose Compost (56 litres) retains the No 1 position.
