Garden & Leisure Group: 'We don't comment on rumours,' say TGCG
Terra Firma, owners of The Garden Centre Group, have declined to comment on speculation that they are about to acquire the Garden & Leisure Group.
When GTN Xtra contacted them yesterday, they issued the following statement:
“As a matter of policy, we never comment on speculation or rumour. Part of our strategy is to grow the business through acquisition, however, we are unable to make any comment on future acquisitions."
However, sources believe an announcement can be expected soon.
Acquisition of Garden & Leisure’s seven stores would add around £40 million to TGCG’s turnover and increase their portfolio to 139 centres.
