Garden products up by 6% but 25% below record high
Garden Product sales for May were up by 6% on last year but nowhere near the record set for overall sales, plants and growing media.
The GTN Bestsellers Top 50 Garden Products chart shows that volume for May 2018 was 25% lower than during May 2016.
It will be interesting to watch Garden Product volumes during June to see if they start to catch up after the late start we had.
Highlights this week were:
- Slug products were at the forefront of sales increases with Neudorff Sluggo Slug & Snail Killer 800g moving up three places to No 2.
- Doff Slug Killer 800g + 200g Free moved up seven places to No 3.
- Vitax Slug Gone 3.5 litres climbed 11 places to No 5.
