Greenfingers Charity calls for runners to take on the 2027 London Landmarks Half Marathon

The Greenfingers Charity is inviting supporters to lace up their running shoes and secure one of its exclusive charity places in the 2027 London Landmarks Half Marathon.

Taking place on Sunday 4th April 2027, the London Landmarks Half Marathon is one of the UK's most sought-after running events, with thousands of participants taking on the unique 13.1-mile route through the heart of the capital. The Greenfingers Charity is once again proud to be an official charity partner and is now recruiting runners to join Team Greenfingers.

Whether you're an experienced runner looking for your next challenge, aiming to complete your first half marathon, or hoping to tick a major event off your bucket list, the charity is encouraging people from across the horticultural industry and beyond to sign up and make every mile count.

Every pound raised will help Greenfingers continue its mission of creating beautiful, therapeutic gardens at children's hospices throughout the UK. These specially designed outdoor spaces provide children with life-limiting conditions and their families with somewhere to play, explore, relax and spend precious time together away from the clinical environment.

Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising & Communications at Greenfingers Charity, said: "The London Landmarks Half Marathon has become one of our favourite fundraising events. Every year we're inspired by the incredible commitment shown by our runners, who train tirelessly and raise vital funds to help us create more life-enhancing hospice gardens.

"We'd love to welcome even more people to Team Greenfingers in 2027. Whether you're running in memory of someone special, challenging yourself to achieve something extraordinary or simply want to support a wonderful cause, we'll be with you every step of the way. Every mile you run will help us create spaces where children and families can make precious memories together."

Why run for Greenfingers?

With just 10 charity places available, this is a fantastic opportunity to take on one of London's most popular half marathons.

As part of Team Greenfingers, runners will receive:

  • A guaranteed place in the 2027 London Landmarks Half Marathon
  • A Greenfingers Charity running vest
  • Fundraising support, ideas and resources throughout their journey
  • Plenty of encouragement from the Greenfingers team and supporters on race day
  • The opportunity to make a lasting difference to children and families who rely on hospice care
