Expert on sustainable marketing to present at GCA conference

A strategic marketer and sustainable marketing consultant has been revealed as one of the keynote speakers at the Garden Centre Association’s annual conference (January 26 until 29, 2025).

Co-founder and podcast host at Can Marketing Save the Planet Ltd, Michelle Carvill, will be presenting on the Tuesday, January 28, of the event.

GCA Chairman, Will Blake says: “Michelle looks set to be an interesting and inspiring speaker that I am sure our members will find highly informative and useful. In 2021, she was recognised as one of the UK’s Top 100 Inspirational Businesswomen. Prior to switching her business focus towards sustainable marketing, Michelle was acknowledged for her achievements in the digital marketing arena.

“She has also worked with a range of businesses developing and supporting digital transformation across organisations, embedding digital within the heart of strategy. Michelle worked on projects across branding, leading teams on their skill building and digital capabilities and running strategically aligned multi-faceted internal communications programmes.

“In May 2021, she qualified with Nottingham Business School on their Sustainability and Inclusive Leadership (SAIL) course and certified Carbon Literate with The Carbon Literacy Trust – and developed the first certified Carbon Literacy Training for Marketers.

“She was awarded ‘Outstanding Contribution to Marketing’ in 2022 for driving sustainable marketing transformation and is a six-times-published author in sustainable and digital marketing, as well as social media strategy. Michelle’s company is on a mission to back responsible marketing through educating and supporting the approximate 10.6 million marketers worldwide.”

Michelle Carvill will be speaking to delegates on Tuesday, January 28 at the 2025 GCA conference and places can still be booked for the conference via Garden Centre Association Tickets, Bundles - Buy Online.

There is also a dedicated email for any queries members, and those wishing to book for the event, may have: conference@gca.org.uk.
