Caulders take over Erskine centre at Paisley

Caulders Garden Centres take over Erskine Garden Centre in Paisley, just outside Glasgow, today following a leashold deal. It is their fourth centre.

Caulders, run by Colin Barrie (front row, right, receiving their GCA regional awards) have sites at Mugdock, Kirkintilloch and Braidbar.

Erskine Garden Centre is run by the Erskine Charity, which has been caring for Scotland's war veterans for almost 100 years. One in five servicemen disbled in battle during the First World War was treated at one of Erskine’s hospitals (of which there are now five in Scotland).

Erskine will retain ownership of the garden centre building, which opened in 2011 and is being leased to Caulders.
