Another newcomer to the Top 50 is Scotts Miracle-Gro Grow Your Own Fruit & Veg Planter at No 45.

Sales of growing media is 22% down on the previous week but still 19.3% higher than in the same week in 2014.

Other star growing media performers this week include:

• Scotts Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Compost (56 litres), the highest climber jumping 11 places to No 15.
• The highest re-entry is Scotts Levington John Innes No 3 (25 litres) at No 35.
